NFL Denver Broncos vs Arizona cardinals




For the second-straight year the Arizona Cardinals played their starters in the final preseason game.

The Broncos did the exact opposite at the new Cardinals Stadium in this Phoenix suburb and defeated the Cardinals 29-23.

Given the Cardinals' strategy, the Broncos had quite the perceived disadvantage. But Denver overcame any mismatches with big plays and clutch stops on defense.

The first strike came via the offense.

Rookie quarterback Jay Cutler hooked up with wide receiver David Kircus for an 84-yard touchdown on the Broncos second drive to take a 9-6 lead.Full story
